Keynote Symptoms

Gnawing, faint, hungry feeling at pit of stomach — must eat frequently. Craves coarse food — meat, pickles, radishes, turnips, indigestible things. Tendency to overeat. Chilly — cold shivers as if blood were ice-water. Liver torpor. Uterine displacement with bearing-down. Stomach feels as if a hard-boiled egg were lodged there.
