Irritable heart with irregular, tumultuous action. Sensation that heart stops then starts again with a violent bound. Cardiac dropsy with scanty urine. Dyspnoea on least exertion. Endocarditis. Tobacco heart. Fluttering, rapid, irregular pulse. Useful in senile heart failure.

All parts of lily of the valley contain cardiac glycosides (convallatoxin, convallarin). Highly toxic — causes cardiac arrhythmias, nausea, death. Even the water from a vase of these flowers can be toxic. Use ONLY potentised forms.
