Profuse secretions from every gland — sweat, saliva, tears, nasal mucus, urination all increased. Profuse perspiration — whole body sweats copiously. Salivation excessive — drooling. Lachrymation profuse. Useful in mumps with extreme salivation. Used to restore suppressed secretions. Hair falling out.

Dull, depressed during profuse sweating. Irritable.

Comparative Materia Medica
Mercurius has profuse salivation but with offensive breath and night aggravation. Pilocarpus (same source) used pharmacologically for glaucoma. Sambucus has profuse sweat but more alternating dry/wet.
Safety Information
Atropine (physiological antidote), Belladonna.
Contains pilocarpine — a powerful parasympathomimetic causing profuse sweating, salivation, miosis, bradycardia. Pharmacologically used for glaucoma. Toxic in crude doses. Use potentised forms.
