Keynote Symptoms
Left-sided or left-to-right direction. Worse during or after sleep — sleeps into aggravation. Cannot tolerate anything tight around neck or waist. Loquacious, jealous, suspicious. Purplish, mottled discolouration. Flushes of heat. Ailments worse from suppression. Hot-blooded, worse from heat.
Mind & Emotional Symptoms
Loquacious, jumping from topic to topic. Jealousy, suspicion, envy. Religious insanity. Thinks she is being poisoned or conspired against. Fear of snakes, death, suffocation. Worse on waking. Creative, intense personality.
General Symptoms
Left-sided. Worse during or after sleep, in spring, from heat, sun, warm bath, pressure, constriction, suppression. Better from open air, hard pressure, cold drinks, onset of discharges (menses, etc.).
Physical Symptoms
Head
Bursting headache, especially left temple. Sun headache. Waves of pain. Vertigo, worse closing eyes.
Ears
Hardness of hearing. Wax too copious.
Nose
Bleeding relieves symptoms. Coryza preceded by headache.
Face
Purplish, mottled, bloated. Neuralgia left side. Hot flushes.
Throat
Sore throat beginning left side, going to right. External throat extremely sensitive to touch. Sensation of lump. Constant desire to swallow. Swallows worse than solids. Cannot bear collar. Quinsy, peritonsillar abscess.
Stomach
Cannot bear anything tight around waist. Craving for oysters, coffee, alcohol. Trembling, gnawing in stomach. Worse after sleep.
Abdomen
Sensitive to touch. Liver region sensitive. Cannot bear tight clothing.
Female Genitalia
Menses relieve all symptoms. Premenstrual syndrome — all symptoms worse before menses. Menopausal complaints with flushes, palpitation. Left ovarian pain.
Respiratory
Suffocating on falling asleep, must jump up. Cough from tickling, dry, during sleep. Sensation that breathing will stop during sleep.
Chest
Palpitation with fainting. Constriction. Sensation of pressure.
Skin

Comparative Materia Medica
Lycopodium is right-sided (vs left for Lachesis) and lacks the sleep aggravation. Apis has jealousy but is thirstless and better from cold. Crotalus horridus has similar snake venom effects but with more haemorrhagic tendency and less mental symptoms.
Safety Information
Arsenicum, Belladonna, Carbo veg, Hepar sulph, Mercurius, Nux vomica. Also alcohol, salt, heat.
Bushmaster venom is extremely toxic, causing haemolysis, coagulopathy, tissue necrosis, organ failure, and death. Use only potentised forms.
