Keynote Symptoms
Warts, condylomata, and excrescences on skin and mucous membranes. Fixed ideas — feels fragile, as if made of glass, as if a stranger were at their side, as if body and soul were separated. Ill effects of vaccination or suppressed gonorrhea. Left-sided complaints. Oily, waxy face. Nails soft, brittle, distorted.
Mind & Emotional Symptoms
Fixed ideas: feels a living person is beside them; that body is fragile, made of glass; that soul and body are separated. Emotional sensitiveness. Music causes weeping and trembling. Hurried, anxious. Conscientious about trifles. Talks hastily, swallows words.
General Symptoms
Hydrogenoid constitution — worse from damp, cold, wet weather. Left-sided. Worse 3 AM and 3 PM. Ill effects of vaccination, tea, onions, sweets, fat food, tobacco. Warts, polyps, tumours. Rapid exhaustion. Perspiration only on uncovered parts, or all over except the head. Sweet-smelling perspiration.
Physical Symptoms
Head
Headache from overexertion or sexual excess. White scaly dandruff. Hair dry, falls out. Neuralgia from tea drinking.
Eyes
Styes, tarsal tumours, chalazion (especially upper lid). Episcleritis. Iritis from sycotic taint.
Ears
Chronic otitis, polyps in ear. Creaking when swallowing.
Nose
Chronic catarrh with thick green mucus, blood and pus. Polyps. Ozena. Ulceration within nostrils. Painful pressure at root of nose.
Face
Oily, shiny, waxy. Veins distended. Neuralgia of left side. Brown spots, freckles.
Mouth
Teeth decay at roots, crown stays intact. Ranula. Epulis. White ulcers on sides of tongue. Varicose veins on tongue.
Stomach
Cannot eat onions, excess of tea disagrees. Flatulence. Distension after eating. Rancid eructations after fat food.
Abdomen
Distended. Brown spots on abdomen. Movements as of something alive. Constipation with violent rectal pains and straining.
Rectum
Piles swollen, pain worse sitting. Fissure. Condylomata around anus. Constipation — stool recedes after partial expulsion.
Urinary
Frequent desire, stream splits or small. Sensation of trickling after urination. Urethra swollen, inflamed.
Male Genitalia
Condylomata on glans and prepuce. Gonorrhea with warts. Chronic urethral discharge, thin, greenish.
Female Genitalia
Warts on vulva and perineum. Vaginal warts. Profuse leucorrhea, thick greenish. Polyps of uterus. Menses too early, too short. Ovarian cyst — left side.
Respiratory
Dry, hacking cough in afternoon. Short breath from fullness in epigastrium. Asthma in children — sycotic.
Extremities
Nails brittle, soft, distorted, crumbling. Warts on hands. Ingrowing toenails. Cracking in joints.
Skin
Warts — large, seedy, pedunculated, on stalks. Condylomata. Eruptions only on covered parts. Brown age spots. Polyps. Naevi. Freckles. Dry skin with brown spots. Herpes zoster.
Sleep & Dreams
Persistent insomnia. Dreams of dead people, of falling from a height. Wakes at 3 AM.

Constitutional Type
Waxy, oily, shiny skin. Dark complexion. Fleshy persons with dark hair. Hydrogenoid constitution (worse damp). Tendency to warts, moles, condylomata. Greasy perspiration.

Comparative Materia Medica
Nitric acid also has warts but they bleed easily and are painful; on mucocutaneous junctions. Causticum has warts on face and hands. Medorrhinum (the nosode) deepens Thuja in sycotic cases. Sabina has fig-warts and is related to Thuja.
Safety Information
Camphora, Chamomilla, Cocculus, Mercurius, Pulsatilla, Sulphur. Also antidoted by Sabina.
Thuja oil contains thujone, a neurotoxin. Internal use of mother tincture in large doses can cause seizures, liver damage, and kidney irritation. Use potentised forms above 6C for internal use. Topical mother tincture on warts is the exception.
