Profuse uterine hemorrhage — bright red, gushing, with faintness and sinking at pit of stomach. Sensation as if sacroiliac joints are falling apart — must be tightly bound. Menopausal flooding. Post-partum hemorrhage. Threatened miscarriage with bright bleeding. Hemorrhage at every two weeks (too frequent menses).

Anxious during hemorrhage. Faintness with flooding. Desire to be bound tightly.
General Symptoms
Hemorrhagic remedy — uterine primarily. Worse from motion, coughing, least exertion. Better from tight binding, rest, cold, sitting.

Sabina has uterine hemorrhage but with pain from sacrum to pubis and dark clots. Ipecacuanha has bright hemorrhage with constant nausea. China has hemorrhage with debility and periodicity. Secale has dark, non-clotting blood with aversion to warmth.
Safety Information
Not well established.
Beth root is used in herbal medicine as a uterine tonic and astringent. Low toxicity in normal doses. Large doses may cause GI irritation and uterine contractions — use caution in pregnancy. Safe in potentised forms.
