Keynote Symptoms

Facial neuralgia — crushing, pinching, mostly left inferior maxillary nerve and into the ear. Periodic — occurs at same hour. Deep, hoarse, bass voice — "trumpet voice." Earache with sensation of obstruction. Deafness. Enuresis. Cough deep, hollow, hoarse. Mullein oil (from flowers) used topically for earache.

Mind & Emotional Symptoms

Dull, absent-minded. Dreaminess. Difficulty concentrating during neuralgia.

General Symptoms

Face, ear, voice. Worse from change of temperature, talking, sneezing, biting, 9 AM to 4 PM. Better from deep breathing, pressure.

Physical Symptoms

Face

Neuralgia — crushing, pinching, of lower jaw, especially left inferior maxillary nerve. Periodic — same hour daily. Pain extending to ear. Tearing, pressing.

Ears

Earache — deep. Sensation of obstruction. Deafness. Dry scales in ear canal. Mullein oil topically for earache — traditional remedy.

Throat

Hoarseness — deep, bass, "trumpet voice." Chronic laryngitis.

Respiratory

Cough — deep, hollow, hoarse, trumpet-like. Chronic bronchitis.

Urinary

Enuresis — involuntary urination, especially during cough.
