Contraindications

Do NOT apply to or near the face of infants and young children — can cause respiratory arrest. Avoid with epilepsy (1,8-cineole may be convulsant at high doses). Avoid with asthma in some individuals.

Drug Interactions

May interact with 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). May affect drugs metabolized by CYP1A2, CYP2C9, CYP2C19, CYP3A4. May lower blood sugar — caution with diabetes medications.
