Phototoxicity Warning

Contains low levels of bergapten and other furanocoumarins when cold-pressed. Phototoxic risk is lower than bergamot or lime. Avoid UV for 12 hours after application above 4%.

Contraindications

Oxidized grapefruit oil is a skin sensitizer. Store properly and discard after 1 year. Avoid UV after topical application of cold-pressed oil.

Drug Interactions

Grapefruit may interact with medications metabolized by CYP3A4 enzyme (statins, calcium channel blockers, immunosuppressants) when used internally. Topical use at recommended dilutions is unlikely to cause interactions.
