Therapeutic Properties
Chemistry
Primary Constituents
Linalool (35-55%), 1,8-cineole (18-26%), alpha-pinene (4-8%), alpha-terpineol (3-6%), limonene (1-3%) per Tisserand & Young 2014
Emotional & Psychological
Rosalina is profoundly calming to an overstimulated nervous system. Its high linalool content soothes anxiety, restlessness and agitation, making it suitable for children at bedtime or during periods of emotional overwhelm. It invites a gentle letting go, supports sleep onset and eases nervous tension without the sedating heaviness of some floral oils.
Physical Therapeutic Uses
Rosalina offers gentle respiratory support in coughs, colds, bronchitis, sinus congestion and childhood respiratory complaints. Its antimicrobial action addresses staph and strep while remaining mild on skin. It is effective for earaches (diluted around, not in, the ear), minor skin infections, insect bites and nervous tension headaches, and is often preferred over Tea Tree for pediatric use.
